AMOUNT OFFERED: $275
- The Danish System of judging will be used. The name of the exhibitor will NOT be displayed before the completion of judging but will be included in display of entries.
- It is understood that all exhibits are entered at the owner’s risk.
- The exhibitor must have grown all entries. Entries, which have been entered in previous years, may NOT be entered again.
- The number of entries is limited to 4 per class unless otherwise stated. No exhibit shall be entered in more than one class at a time.
- Only residents of Allegany County or any of the surrounding NYS Counties may enter items.
- Non-professional exhibitors ONLY. An exhibitor is considered a professional if he/she DOES use the sale of these (or similar) items as a major portion of his/her income. No exhibit may be offered for sale during the Fair.
- A “Best of Show” ribbon may be awarded to an outstanding entry in each section at the discretion of the judges.
- Examples of judging sheets will be available in the Domestic Arts Building, SATURDAY before Fair.
- All named varieties of flowers exhibited for premiums must have the name written legibly and correctly on a 3×5 card; and each separate entry must have its name attached.
- All arrangements must have an original title depicting the chosen theme.
- Any exhibit in any class will be disqualified unless it contains the number of items specified for that class.
- Flowers may be refreshed, or individual flowers replaced during the week, after they are judged.
- Arrangements shall NOT exceed 30 inches overall.
- All entry forms MUST be received at the Fair Office by MONDAY, before Fair, before 5:00 PM. Entry forms may be delivered in person or mailed to: Allegany Co. Fair, PO Box 96, Angelica, NY, or online entries are encouraged.
- Entry forms are located on the Fair Website or may be picked up at the Fair Office.
- All exhibits MUST be received at the Domestic Arts Building, SATURDAY, before Fair, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 12:00 noon. Entry envelopes will be at the Domestic Arts Building. Judging will take place on SATURDAY, before Fair. Please Park in the parking lot after dropping of your entries, as others are setting up on the grounds.
- All exhibits must remain in place until SUNDAY, after Fair ends. Exhibits may be picked up at the Domestic Arts Building from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Parking on the Fairgrounds is permitted on Sunday while picking up exhibits.
- Exhibitors 17 years and younger must specify age on their entry form.
- Entries will be accepted from only those youth under the age of 18 who are not members of 4-H and are residents of Allegany County. All such entries must have been completed within the previous year. In no case will a prior 4-H entry be accepted as an open class entry. Residence in Allegany County is required of youth entries.

05-402 “A Walk in the Country” – arrangement of wildflowers in a suitable container.
05-403 “Woodland Fantasy” – arrangement using driftwood; also, fresh or dried flowers. Figures allowed. 05-404 Annuals in bloom – no dried or perennials
05-405 Miscellaneous Flowers in Bloom – arrangement may include combination of annual, perennial, dried flowers. No silks.
05-406 Perennials in Bloom – no dried flowers
05-407 Miniature Arrangement – not to exceed 5” overall, including container. May include annuals, perennials. No dried flowers
05-408 Table Centerpiece – may be any type of fresh or dried flowers. May include placemat, candles, or accent pieces.
05-409 “Rise and Shine” – breakfast table place setting with suitable flower arrangements. 05-410 Holiday Arrangement – may depict any holiday.
05-411 Dried Wreath – contains dried materials
05-412 Window or Porch Box – living plants. Container may be unusual. 05-413 Arrangement with a Theme – may depict any theme.
05-414 Dried Arrangement – contains dried, natural materials. 05-415 One Alone – using only ONE flower.
05-416 Artificial Flowers – any wildflower arrangement.
Eligible New York State County’s boarding Allegany County Include: Cattaraugus, Livingston, Steuben, and Wyoming. Any out-of-county recipient of a Blue Ribbon or Best of Show award will not be eligible to enter that item(s) at the NYS Fair as a representative of Allegany County.
